Our family tree is progressing well, and with the help of my cousin Kate (in Marrakesh) we have this week found 2 more great gd Conein Uncles.
So far unknown and not registered anywhere.…
Also we have now 9 (nine!) descendants for Francois Alexandre CONEIN II
(Lou's Grand Father)
My personal research going up the tree, is now stuck in Beauvais in 1758 With Jean Baptiste CONIN. He was the son of Louis Adrien (David) and Grand Son of David Conin (born~1730 Pont St Maxence, Oise, France)
It is an important discovery as it places for the first time, the Conein's out of Stasburg and East of France.

J B Conein was born in a place called Pont Saint Maxence near Beauvais.
Research on the net are hard and I have to go to the archives now in Beauvais and spend some time there trying to find out a bit more.
(The history of Sainte Maxence is quite interesting and date of the 5th century, she was the daughter of the King of the Scots but she ran away from Scotland as she did not want to marry her father's chosen party, and arrived there near Beauvais, the barbarian to whom she was promised, caught up with her and cut her head off! Sainte Maxence then picked her head off
